This class will help interested participants learn how to cook simple, healthy meals that fit our busy lifestyle. Each class will practice tips and tricks for eating and exploring healthy foods while at the same time making them tasty. Delicious and nutritious. With enough interest, we can start growing our own simple herb/veg garden as well as begin foraging for our own healthy foods!
The first classes will be April 14th and April 28th, 5:00pm, @ the Allegany Community Center MPR; classes will take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Please see attached flyer for complete information.
Nya:wëh for your participation in the community needs assessment survey! The Seneca Nation needs assessment is officially closed. The goal was to receive 260 on territory member surveys and 288 off-territory member surveys. In total we have received 80% of our goal for on territory surveys, and 48% of our off-territory member goal. Furthermore, 100% of department administrators completed the provider survey.
The results will be used to identify your community’s resource requirements and gaps for the purpose of guiding important decisions about local healthcare, education, family services, and more. This information will be used to guide administrative actions that affect your community. As a participant of this survey, you have been provided the opportunity to enter to win cash prizes totaling $500! The sweepstakes winners will be selected and announced April 10, 2015.

Each territory will be holding a OSHA 10 class in the upcoming weeks. The Cattaraugus class will be held April 21st - 22nd 8am-4pm and the Allegany class will be held May 7th and 8th 8am-4pm. There is no cost. Each class has room for 40 people. Participants must register before hand; walk-ins are not permitted. See attached flyer for complete information.
