The Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS) Child and Family Services Unit, in collaboration with other SNHS departments is hosting its annual Open House Tuesday, April 28, from 11:30 a.m. -2 p.m. This event is held each April in observance of National Child Abuse Awareness Month and promotes health with the inclusion of Walk at Lunch. Local community vendors will be present to promote their goods and services. Additionally, representatives from the Cattaraugus Sheriff’s Department will be providing free, on-site car seat safety checks to make sure car seats are being installed and used correctly.

Dennis Banks, co-founder of American Indian Movement, has set forth his time to bring awareness about diabetes prevention and managing diabetes in Indian Country through education and mobilizing communities. He would be honored to host a "Call to Action" so to speak with the Seneca Nation of Indians, May 18th, 2015.

The Food Is Our Medicine Project is seeking volunteers and runners for its annual Honoring Mother Earth 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25 at 11 AM.
