Natural Resources

The predominant resources on the reservations are timber, sand, and gravel. Timber harvesting on reservation lands has been ongoing for several years, particularly on the AIR. Sand and gravel operations occur from time to time, usually on a needs basis. More recently, it has been discovered that natural gas pockets exist on the reservations and test drilling projects are presently being undertaken.
