Food Service Helper I (FT) - $9.95
A.O.A./Nutrition Program – Irving, NY

Basic Function:

Incumbent is responsible for assisting in all phases of meal preparation, service and clean-up on a daily basis.  Works under the direct supervision of the Head Cook.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or Equivalent.  A minimum of two (2) years experience in food preparation.  Must possess knowledge of kitchen sanitation.  Must be physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.  Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid NYS driver’s license.

Basic Function:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining lines of communication between Native American students, their parents, school administrators and teachers in order to accomplish the goals of meeting the education and culturally related academic needs of Native American children.  The work is performed under the supervision of the Academic Assistance Services Coordinator. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and two years of experience involving the planning, support or delivery of services or programs to members of a Native American Community.  Experience in Social Work and good knowledge of Native American Culture.  Ability to effectively communicate the goals and interest of Native Americans to community representatives and school officials.  Ability to establish, maintain effective interpersonal relationships and good knowledge of interviewing principles and practices.  Must provide own transportation and possess valid NYS Driver’s license.

Recreation Security Monitor (FT/Temp) - $11.08
Recreation Department - Irving, NY

Basic Function:

Assist the Recreation Director with establishing and enforcing rules of conduct for the Saylor Community Building and Recreation facilities. Monitors attendance and ensures the safety of the public utilizing the facilities and grounds. Responsible for opening, closing, and securing the buildings following community and recreation sponsored events.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equipvalent with Six (6) months - One (1) year previous security guard experience. Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a NYS driver's license with a clean record. CPR and First Aide Certification and/or willingness to attend training. Must pass a background/criminal history clearance.
